About "I Need Somebody"
"I Need Somebody" is a song by Australian pop group Bardot and the second single from their second studio album, Play It Like That (2001). It was written by Ray Hedges, Nigel Butler, and John Pickering, and produced by Hedges.
"I Need Somebody' is an up-tempo dance–pop song influenced by disco music, and was Bardot's first song to be included on the ARIA Dance Singles Chart. It gained a positive reception with one critic comparing it to the dance–pop stylings of Kylie Minogue. The music video was filmed at a mansion in Sydney, directed by Simon Bookallil.
